Sephora VIB Rouge Reception

For all my fellow Sephora VIB Rouge members, I hope you’ve RSVP’d! I did so immediately and then told my Husband so that he could wait until the event to put in my birthday order. Tehehehe!

Birthday Wishlist – Beauty

With my 27th birthday quickly approaching, I thought it’d be nice to dream a little.

I haven’t really bought much makeup so far this year, so I did do a little shopping recently (a haul will be coming soon) but all real beauty junkies know that one’s wishlist is constantly growing. I crossed off quite a few things, but these are a few items I’ve had on recently. A few items are still on my wishlist for the Sephora VIB Sale in November, but I’ll be saving those until then. These items are all $100 and available at either Sephora or Ulta (the Shu Uemura items are available at select Sephora Canada stores or on the Shu Uemura website). Continue reading

June 2014 Favourites

Hi Guys!

Long time, no see! Sorry I’ve been MIA for the longest while, things have been super busy and hectic. AND I’m trying to make some changes on my actual blog (layout and such), so please be patient with me. Since I have been gone for a while, I thought I’d share a little treat with you all. I finally mustered up the courage to make my first YouTube video, much to the encouragement of my Hubs and friends. I’ll admit that I have to work on editing and lighting, but hopefully that’ll be improved upon soon. I’m currently filming on our point & shoot and editing on my parents’ PC, since my DSLR and computer are in NY with my Husband (just another gripe about long distance relationships).

Anywho, here it is. I hope you guys enjoy it! I’m working on another video that will be up later this week. :)

Huge Collective Makeup Haul (Nov.’13-Feb.’14) – Part 1 – Online Shops

Like I’ve mentioned in my last post, I’m trying to catch up on all the months I lost while I was “hibernating”. I put my haul from Christmas all in the previous post to make it easier and now this post is dedicated to Part 1 of my huge collective makeup haul.

I haven’t done any shopping for cosmetics for myself since December ’13, so please don’t think I’m trying to brag. Quite frankly, all these items are sitting in our apartment in NY waiting for me to play with them and I just wanted to post about them to get others’ opinions on them all.

So, here we go…

Hautelook Haul
Kevyn Aucoin – The Essential Eye Shadow Single in Passion, Aubergine, Fawn, Whisper and Radiant Reflection Solid Foundation in Yasmeen
I purchased the eyeshadows since I’ve never tried any of Kevyn Aucoin eyeshadows before and they were a major steal at $7 a piece! The foundation I picked up in a darker colour than my skintone to see if it’d be any good in contouring.
- theBalmtimeBalm Concealer in Light/Medium
The only item I have from theBalm is the Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter and it is divine! So I thought I’d give their concealer a try. At the time it was 1/2 off on Hautelook, which meant I only spent $9, and it was hard to pass up since I’ve been looking for a good under-eye concealer. If you didn’t know… theBalm will be back on sale on Hautelook tomorrow (03/07)!
BH & Brush Tree Haul

I got the concealer palette in light for Christmas and it was actually supposed to be in medium, so I decided to grab the correct shade for me. The shadow palette was actually also supposed to be part of a Christmas gift from my bro (he got me all the BH cosmetics stuff) but they forgot to put it in my order. WOMP.
BenjabelleOriginal Brush Tree
I’m not a fan of laying my brushes flat to dry since water can still seep into the ferrule so the Original Brush Tree is the perfect solution.
That’s Part 1 of the Huge Collective Haul. Part 2 will have Drugstore Brands and Part 3 will have High End so stay tuned!
